Harrison Coleman, a man from Maine, was arrested and faces multiple charges after allegedly abducting his ex-girlfriend, physically assaulting her, and threatening to kill her if she did not steal specific items from a Walmart in Auburn, Maine.”

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, around 1:30 p.m., Harrison Coleman, 50, allegedly kidnapped his 30-year-old ex-girlfriend in Auburn, Maine. Police say he physically assaulted her and then forced her into his vehicle.

Authorities report that Coleman drove her to a Walmart and threatened to kill her if she did not steal certain items from the store. Inside the store, the woman managed to quietly alert employees about the situation.

The staff quickly contacted an Auburn police officer who was on a security detail, and additional officers soon arrived.

Coleman was found waiting in his vehicle in the parking lot and was arrested without further incident.

Coleman was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail, where he faces charges including kidnapping, domestic violence assault, and domestic violence criminal threatening.

He is being held without bail pending his initial court appearance.

Authorities praised the victim for her quick thinking, as well as the rapid response from Walmart staff and the on-site police officer, which helped ensure her safety and led to Coleman’s arrest.
