Woman Accused of Letting Doctor Sexually Assault Child in Exchange for Adderall.

Woman Accused of Letting Doctor Sexually Assault Child in Exchange for Adderall.

A Texas woman is behind bars after investigators accused her of repeatedly allowing a former doctor to sexually assault a child while allegedly receiving Adderall prescriptions connected to the visits.

According to authorities, 37-year-old Alicia Evonne Sanchez, also known as Alicia Evonne Seguin, was arrested September 30 in Smith County, Texas, and charged with continuous sexual assault of a child under 14, a first-degree felony.

The disturbing allegations reportedly involve a child who was around 7 years old when the alleged abuse began and approximately 13 when it ended.

Investigators say the child was taken to former physician Kenneth Donald Haygood on multiple occasions over a period of more than five years. According to an arrest affidavit cited in reports, the alleged abuse happened at least 10 times.

Authorities allege Sanchez was present during the encounters and did not intervene despite the child crying and asking Haygood to stop.

The allegations become even more disturbing because investigators say medication was involved.

According to the affidavit, Haygood allegedly prescribed Adderall following some of the visits. Investigators claim Sanchez later placed the medication into a clear bag and told the child that it was being sold because of a medication shortage.

The allegations raise serious questions about what investigators say happened inside the doctor’s office and why the child continued being taken there.

Authorities have accused Sanchez of knowingly allowing the alleged abuse to continue rather than protecting the child.

Sanchez is now facing a first-degree felony charge of continuous sexual assault of a child under 14. Reports indicate she was being held on a $3 million bond.

The former doctor named in the case, Kenneth Donald Haygood, has already faced criminal charges of his own.

Haygood pleaded guilty in 2025 to two separate sexual-assault charges and was sentenced to eight years in prison, according to reports. However, authorities have not established that those earlier convictions involved the same child referenced in the current allegations.

That distinction is important because the accusations against Sanchez are connected to the specific allegations outlined by investigators in the current case.

The case reportedly came to investigators’ attention after allegations concerning the child’s treatment were brought forward. Investigators then reviewed the circumstances surrounding the child’s encounters with Haygood and the alleged involvement of Sanchez.

The affidavit paints a disturbing picture of a child allegedly being placed in repeated situations with an adult physician despite allegedly showing signs of distress.

Authorities now say Sanchez’s alleged actions went beyond simply being present. Prosecutors will have to prove the accusations in court, and Sanchez is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The case is also drawing attention because of the alleged connection between the abuse and prescription medication. Investigators say the child was told the Adderall was being sold because of a shortage, adding another troubling element to an already serious criminal investigation.

For now, Sanchez remains accused of a crime that carries severe consequences if she is convicted.

The investigation and court proceedings are expected to determine exactly what happened, how long the alleged abuse continued, and what role each person played.

As the case moves forward, the allegations against Sanchez remain allegations, and the evidence will ultimately be tested through the legal process.

The case is another reminder of how quickly situations involving children, trusted adults and medical professionals can become extremely serious when allegations of abuse emerge.

StreetAddictz will continue following the case as more information becomes available.
