Footage Released Of Woman Accused Of Stealing Rolexes at Miami Beach

A woman, who allegedly singled out men at a Miami beach hotel to rob them, was apprehended by the police while her baby was in the vehicle with her.

Esther Torres, aged 20, was taken into custody and accused of committing two instances of first-degree robbery for reportedly using pepper spray on two tourists and taking their high-end watches and wallets at different hotels in March.

Police reported that Torres broke into the victim’s hotel room, used pepper spray on him, and then took a Hugo Boss watch and a wallet holding $150, 70 euros, and several credit cards.

A few days after that, on March 30th, Torres reportedly employed the identical strategy with another individual at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Collins Avenue.

She tracked the man from a club to his hotel room, used a spray of an unidentified liquid to blind him temporarily, and then took his Rolex Submariner watch worth around $22,000, according to the police.

Surveillance footage obtained by local10.com shows the two hotels allegedly recorded Torres running away from the locations.

Torres was linked to the crimes when her Florida driver’s license was discovered in a vehicle that was pulled over by the police in Miami Beach on April 18. The driver of the vehicle, who had an active warrant, got in touch with Torres to pick up the car, which ultimately led to her being identified in connection with the crimes.

Torres was arrested on Thursday at Northeast 64th Street and Northeast 7th Avenue.
