Woman Fatally Shoots Man After Dispute Over Missing Chicken.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A late-night dispute over a food delivery order escalated into deadly violence last week, leaving a 63-year-old man dead and a woman facing a first-degree intentional homicide charge, according to police.

The shooting occurred shortly before midnight on February 21 at a residence near North 22nd Street and West Locust Street. Authorities say the confrontation began after the victim, identified as Charley Collins, went outside to retrieve a food delivery.

According to lawandcrime.com, Collins returned to the home upset, reportedly saying that someone had stolen his chicken from the order. Only a soft drink remained outside. The situation quickly escalated into an argument between Collins and 41-year-old Bonnie Blackwell, who was also inside the residence.

Police say Blackwell later told detectives that Collins was yelling and calling her names during the dispute. She claimed he moved toward her during the confrontation. At some point, a gun was fired inside the home.

Authorities allege that Collins was shot in the back as he walked away. Officers responding to the scene attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the residence.

Investigators recovered a spent shell casing in a hallway and located a bullet near where Collins collapsed. According to court documents, Blackwell allegedly made incriminating statements during a jail phone call following the incident.

Blackwell has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. She was taken into custody and booked into the Milwaukee County Jail. Her case remains pending in court.

Officials have not indicated whether additional individuals were involved or whether surveillance footage from the delivery service is part of the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation.
