Newly circulating body camera footage has brought renewed attention to a 2024 retail theft case involving a Chicago woman, identified by authorities as Kahdijah Terry.
The footage, which has recently spread across social media platforms, appears to show a confrontation between law enforcement officers and a woman accused of shoplifting from a Lululemon store.
While the video itself has not yet been officially released through police channels, details surrounding Terry’s arrest and prior incidents have been confirmed through court records and local news reporting.
Kahdijah Terry, 30, was taken into custody in November 2024 following a dramatic police encounter near the Oakbrook Center shopping area.
Authorities say Terry was under investigation in connection with retail theft incidents when officers attempted to stop her vehicle. Instead of complying, she allegedly fled the scene, initiating a sequence of events that escalated quickly.
According to the bodycam video, officers arrive on scene following reports of a theft at the store. The footage appears to show a verbal exchange between police and the woman, as they question her about the alleged incident.
At points in the video, officers can be heard giving instructions while attempting to assess the situation. The woman’s responses and demeanor during the encounter have fueled discussion online, with clips quickly gaining traction across multiple platforms.
It remains unclear from the footage alone what items, if any, were allegedly taken, and whether charges were filed directly as a result of the incident shown.
