Man Arrested After Throwing His Mother To The Ground And Assaulting Neighbor.

Gwinnett Police were called to a residence after reports that a man had become violent, allegedly pushing his mother, shouting at her, and pulling out another woman’s hair.

When Officer R. Carrillo-Julian arrived, he encountered 31-year-old Kehma Johnson.

Johnson reportedly told the officer he had recently smoked marijuana and appeared highly agitated, speaking incoherently. Moments later, he allegedly rushed toward the officer.

A Taser was deployed, allowing Officer Carrillo-Julian to restrain him until additional officers arrived.

Johnson reportedly continued resisting law enforcement during the process of being taken to jail. Inside the home, officers found his elderly mother and arranged for Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services to evaluate her after she was reportedly assaulted. A neighboring resident also reported that Johnson had pulled out a section of her hair during the incident.

Johnson now faces charges including aggravated battery, false imprisonment, battery, interference with emergency communications, and felony obstruction of law enforcement through threats or violence.
