Violent Teen Brawl Erupts Inside D.C. Chipotle Caught On Camera.

A chaotic fight involving multiple teenagers erupted inside a Chipotle restaurant in Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard neighborhood over the weekend, adding to growing concerns over juvenile violence and so-called “teen takeovers” across the city.

Videos circulating online show several young people throwing punches, shoving one another, and hurling restaurant furniture during the melee while customers — including children — attempted to take cover inside the crowded restaurant.

In one clip, a participant appeared to strike another person with a child’s high chair before tossing it across the dining area.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), officers responded to reports of a large fight at the Chipotle located in the Navy Yard area around 8:40 p.m. Saturday night.

Witnesses told investigators that one group of juveniles was already inside the restaurant when another group entered, and the confrontation escalated almost immediately.

By the time officers arrived, the groups involved had already fled the scene. Authorities said no injuries were reported, though the restaurant was left in disarray following the disturbance. The incident remains under investigation.

The brawl comes amid heightened scrutiny over recurring youth disturbances in parts of Washington, particularly in the Navy Yard and NoMa neighborhoods.

City residents and business owners have increasingly voiced frustration over large gatherings of unsupervised teens that have occasionally turned violent.

Just one day before the fight, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro announced a tougher enforcement strategy aimed at parents of juveniles involved in criminal activity or curfew violations. Pirro said her office plans to aggressively prosecute adults accused of contributing to the delinquency of minors.

“Teen takeovers have disrupted neighborhoods, forced businesses to close temporarily, and diverted valuable law enforcement resources,” Pirro said during a recent statement addressing the issue.

Under the new enforcement effort, parents could face fines, court-ordered programs, or possible jail time if authorities determine they knowingly allowed minors to participate in unlawful activities.

Chipotle officials condemned the violence and said the company is cooperating fully with investigators.

“At Chipotle, the health and safety of our employees and guests is our highest priority,” company spokesperson Laurie Schalow said in a statement. “We have zero tolerance for guests who behave recklessly in our restaurants and put others at risk.”

The incident has reignited debate over juvenile crime, parental accountability, and public safety measures in the nation’s capital as city leaders continue searching for ways to prevent future outbreaks of violence heading into the summer months.
