Newly released body camera footage from Raq Rarest shows Atlanta rapper Young Thug being pulled over by police on February 20, 2026, after allegedly speeding on a highway.
According to the footage, the officer clocked Young Thug driving approximately 80 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone. During the traffic stop, the officer appears to recognize the rapper, noting his status as a well-known figure in the Atlanta music scene.
Despite the severity of the alleged speeding violation—which can often result in an arrest—Young Thug was not taken into custody. However, officers discovered that his driver’s license was suspended at the time of the stop. Instead of making an arrest, police issued him a citation.
The situation was resolved on the scene when the rapper’s passenger, who was reportedly licensed to drive, took over behind the wheel, allowing them to leave without further incident.
While driving at such high speeds in a restricted zone can carry serious legal consequences, Young Thug ultimately avoided arrest in this instance, receiving a relatively lenient outcome.
