Florida Man Throws Rock Through ICE Agent’s Car Window

STUART, Fla. — A Florida teenager is facing felony charges after allegedly smashing the window of a federal agent’s vehicle by hurling a large rock, authorities say.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department reported that officers responded to a Wawa convenience store around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, where ICE and Border Patrol agents were conducting an operation. The operation had already led to the arrest of the father of 19-year-old Pasqual Velasquez Martin.

According to police, the incident unfolded when one of the federal agents was driving through the Wawa parking lot. Velasquez Martin allegedly picked up a landscaping rock from the north side of the lot and threw it at the occupied ICE vehicle, shattering the window. No federal agents were injured during the attack.

After the incident, Velasquez Martin attempted to flee the scene but was quickly located by federal agents near the nearby MD Now and PDQ restaurants. A witness at the scene confirmed seeing the teen throw the rock at the vehicle.

Velasquez Martin was arrested and booked into the St. Lucie County Jail, where he is being held on a $25,000 bond. Authorities have not released a motive for the attack, but investigations are ongoing.

The incident has raised questions about the safety of law enforcement officers during public operations and highlights the potential for confrontations in everyday locations such as convenience store parking lots.

Officials are urging anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward.
