The music industry is mourning the loss of British singer Lauren Bennett, who has died at the age of 37.

Best known for her unforgettable vocals on LMFAO’s 2011 global smash hit “Party Rock Anthem,” Bennett’s passing was confirmed Monday by her former girl group, G.R.L., in a heartfelt statement shared on social media. As of publication, no cause of death has been publicly released.

“Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us,” G.R.L. wrote in its tribute. “We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us.

Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.”

Born in Meopham, Kent, England, Bennett began pursuing music at a young age. After competing on The X Factor in the United Kingdom, she relocated to Los Angeles to further her career and eventually became a member of the pop group Paradiso Girls.

The group gained attention in 2009 with the single “Patron Tequila,” featuring Lil Jon and Eve, introducing Bennett’s voice to audiences around the world.

Her biggest breakthrough arrived in 2011 when she appeared alongside LMFAO on “Party Rock Anthem.” The song became one of the defining dance-pop records of the decade, topping charts in more than 20 countries and becoming one of the best-selling digital singles in music history.

Bennett’s vocals helped turn the track into a worldwide anthem that continues to be played at sporting events, parties, and celebrations more than a decade after its release.

Following that success, Bennett continued building her career as both a solo artist and a member of G.R.L., a girl group created by Robin Antin.

The group earned international recognition with songs including “Vacation,” “Ugly Heart,” and Pitbull’s “Wild Wild Love.” Their energetic pop sound and powerful performances helped establish them as one of the era’s rising acts.

G.R.L. faced unimaginable tragedy in 2014 after fellow member Simone Battle died.

Bennett and the remaining members later released the emotional tribute song “Lighthouse,” while also partnering with mental health organizations to raise awareness about depression and suicide prevention. Bennett often spoke publicly about supporting young people struggling with mental health challenges, making advocacy an important part of her legacy beyond music.

News of Bennett’s death spread quickly across social media, where fans and fellow musicians shared memories of her performances and reflected on the lasting impact of “Party Rock Anthem.” Many listeners credited the song with defining an era of pop music, while others remembered Bennett for her positive energy and uplifting personality.

Although Bennett never sought the spotlight as aggressively as some of her peers, her voice became part of one of the most recognizable songs of the 2010s. Her work with LMFAO, G.R.L., and numerous collaborations introduced her talent to millions of listeners around the globe.

Tributes continue to pour in from fans who grew up listening to her music. Many described her as an underrated vocalist whose contributions helped shape some of the biggest dance and pop records of the decade.

At this time, Bennett’s family has not released additional details regarding funeral arrangements or the circumstances surrounding her death. Fans are expected to continue honoring her memory by revisiting the songs that made her a beloved figure in pop music.

Lauren Bennett leaves behind a legacy defined by infectious melodies, unforgettable performances, and a voice that became part of one of the most iconic songs of a generation. While her life was cut tragically short, her music will continue to inspire fans around the world for years to come.
